The neighborhood is mostly residential, and popular with students thanks to a direct bus to the University of Texas-Austin campus. There are some great restaurants in Riverside, including the casual Vietnamese fusion spot Hai Ky and 1776 Cheesesteak, where all of the sandwiches are named after American politicians. On the weekend, head to tranquil Peace Point, a small park on the Colorado River.
